Sarah loves to teach yoga asana that challenges both the body, breath and soul.
"Perspiration. Respiration. Inspiration"
Sarah gets great pleasure from introducing yoga to students, observe their bodies evolve and seeing the 'blissed out' look in their eyes at end of each class! She also prides herself on developing a strong, supportive community (or 'kula') wherever she teaches.
Sarah is a Certified Anusara® yoga teacher and also E-RYT500 and RPYT with Yoga Alliance. She has been teaching in Asia since 2009, and moves to the UK in 2017.
Sarah has lived in England and Africa, but it wasn't until she moved to Singapore, in 2006, that she discovered and really fell in love with yoga. Initially she was drawn to the challenging physical asana practice but soon she fell in love with the other life-transforming benefits of yoga, including breath control, deep relaxation and meditation. Without a doubt, yoga has made her a much calmer mum to her three sons. It has also helped her overcome various hamstring and back injuries. And now she feels blessed to be running her own yoga school. The stress of her past Marketing/Public Relations career seems light years away!
Sarah is always learning and expanding her skill set. After completing her first Hot Yoga Teacher Training (TT) with Copper Crow in Singapore (2009), Sarah then continued with more trainings and became Teen Teacher in 2011, Anusara-Inspired in 2011, Pre/Post Natal qualified in 2012 and E-500RYT in 2015. Sarah has studied with numerous teachers during her time in Asia - the most influential being Christina Sell, Noah Maze, Ross Rayburn, Desiree Rumburgh, Carlos Pomeda and Copper Crow and is very grateful to them for passing on the teaching skills and knowledge that has enabled her to grow as a person and yoga teacher.
Sarah uses the Anusara® Universal Principles of Alignment™ to make each class a challenge for her students at the right level physical, whilst weaving pranayama (breath work) and philosophy into the class to make it a calming, meaningful experience.
